1. Introductions, apologies and substitutions
1.1 The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting. There were no apologies or substitutions.
2. Inquiry into Attendance and Behaviour: scrutiny session
2.1 The Chair welcomed Ian James, Interim Director of Education, City and County of Swansea; and Robin Brown, Head of Education Inclusion, City and County of Swansea, to the meeting. Members questioned the witnesses.
Action point:
The Committee agreed to send the witnesses additional questions from Members, and the witnesses agreed to respond and provide additional information to the Committee.
3. Inquiry into Attendance and Behaviour: scrutiny session
3.1 The Chair welcomed Arwyn Thomas, Assistant Director of Education and Community Services, Ceredigion County Council to the meeting. Members questioned the witness.

The Committee agreed to send the witness additional questions from Members, and the witness agreed to respond and provide additional information to the Committee.
4. Inquiry into Attendance and Behaviour: scrutiny session
4.1 The Chair welcomed Superintendent Liane Bartlett, Association of Chief Police Officers Cymru, to the meeting. Members questioned the witness.
Action point:
The Committee agreed to send the witness additional questions from Members, and the witness agreed to respond and provide additional information regarding the restorative work that the police is undertaking as part of the School Crime Beat protocol, whereby children are supported rather than punished as a result of incidents in school.
5. Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for the following business
